Ward and his foundation, The Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation, are pioneers in environmental education and advocacy, resource protection, and habitat restoration. He has dedicated his life to giving back to the next generation our natural resources.
The foundation has been recognized both by leaders at every level of government and has partnered with several leading conservation organizations to develop state-of-the-art environmental and engineering programs. These projects have served as a conservation model both regionally and nationally.
Ward is committed to global environmental policy issues from renewable energy to enabling landowners to access federal and state programs that protect their land in perpetuity and allow for the land to be passed down from generation to generation with minimal financial impact. Ward speaks regularly at the state and national levels, including The White House Cooperative Conservation, and is often called upon by dignitaries to offer advice on environmental policies that affect the United States. There are also numerous publications about his work.
"Our natural resources is like a child. It has no voice. We can either nurture or abuse. It is our inherited responsibility as americans to give our natural resources a positive voice for future generations to come."
