About Ward Burton
Ward Burton, a native Virginian, gained fame as one of NASCAR's elite during his 17-year NASCAR career, and won some of the sports' most prestigious events including the 2002 Daytona 500. He is well respected for his solid patriotic values and commitment to family, and has one of the most dedicated fan followings around. The only thing that equals Ward's passion for racing is his intense passion for the environment.
Today, Ward spends the bulk of his professional time in two ways: First, as a well-known advocate for land and wildlife conservation. Ward founded the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation, which oversees groundbreaking projects focused on everything from renewable energy to enabling landowners to access government programs to allow their land to be passed down for generations. Secondly, he keeps busy designing and implementing high impact marketing programs for companies that will energize their customers, raise brand awareness, & generate incremental sales, all at an affordable cost to partner companies.
As a result of these activities, Ward is a sought-after speaker, consultant and spokesperson on global environmental policy issues and business building opportunities.
